The NAOOA constantly monitors the US olive oil market and works with relevant food and health interests to promote olive oil consumption in the United States. NAOOA Members are kept informed through trade alerts, a newsletter, conference calls, webinars and bi-annual meetings.
For more than 25 years, NAOOA has been managing a quality control program aimed at alerting the U.S. government and trade officials of olive oil adulteration and fraud. Today, the NAOOA has its own Quality Seal program exclusively for members of the North American Olive Oil Association.
Members also gain membership in the Association of Food Industries (AFI), receive a copy of the “U.S. Food Import Industry Annual Report,” including a directory of leading U.S. importers and exporters of olive oil and other imported foods, and can attend meetings and conventions.
